What types of tile projects do you install?

We install tile for bathroom floors, shower walls and floors, kitchen backsplashes and other remodeling applications where tile is part of the project. We'll look at the substrate, tile size and layout before determining the installation approach.

Do you install large-format tile?

Yes. Large-format tile requires a flatter substrate, careful layout and proper mortar coverage. We evaluate the surface before installation so problems aren't simply hidden underneath large tile.

Can you tile directly over my existing floor or wall?

Sometimes, but not automatically. The existing surface has to be suitable, stable and properly prepared. We would rather correct a bad substrate first than install new tile over a problem that can cause failure later.

Do you waterproof shower tile installations?

Yes. For custom tiled showers, waterproofing is part of the shower system, not an optional extra. Angry Cat uses Schluter waterproofing systems for our custom tiled showers.

Who supplies the tile?

Tile is a customer-selected finish material. We can build a finish-material allowance into the project and help you through the selection process so you don't have to figure everything out on your own.

The Melfis hired us to set 48” by 24” tiles — heavy, unforgiving, and where lippage shows instantly. That review is on our homepage. Big tile needs a dead-flat substrate and patient setting, which is exactly the kind of work we like.

Fine by us. You can provide the tile, or we can source it through our suppliers — and we will tell you honestly whether what you have picked will work where you want it.
